Ines Halvorsen
Naturalist, evening speaker and species-list keeper
Ines Halvorsen is the lead naturalist aboard the Halden Star. She runs the evening talks, keeps the daily species list, and is famous for spotting a seabird that nobody else on deck can find.
Her talks are known for being funny, accurate, and short enough to be followed by dinner.
Professional Background
Ines trained as a marine biologist and spent several seasons counting seabird colonies on the outer skerries before turning to guiding. She writes the Northlight species guide, a pocket booklet given to every guest.
